Risk Zones

Today a new mechanic has appeared in the game - Risk Areas. These are special territories beyond the control of cities, guilds, and royal authorities. There are no guards here, no laws apply, and no one takes responsibility for what happens inside. Anyone who decides to enter these lands does so at their own risk.

Risk Areas were designed as places for more dangerous but also more rewarding expeditions. Here you can find resources and materials that are almost impossible to obtain in the regular regions of the world.


What Risk Areas Are

Risk Areas are remote and hard-to-reach territories: abandoned settlements, old mines, wild forests, mountain passes, and forgotten roads. Maps of these places become outdated quickly, and expeditions do not always return.

Because of their isolation, these lands remain largely unexplored. This is why you may encounter:

  • rare natural resources

  • dangerous monsters that avoided extermination

  • unique creatures that live only in these lands

  • other players searching for valuable loot

Only one principle applies here - the law of the strongest.


PvP and Danger

There are no safe Areas or city protection inside Risk Areas. Players can:

  • fight monsters

  • gather resources

  • attack other players

  • hunt for rare loot

Victory may bring valuable trophies, but defeat always has consequences.

If a player dies to another hero, part of their equipment goes to the winner.


Death and Exile

Death in a Risk Area always leads to losses.

When a character dies, they:

  • lose 1 to 3 random equipped items

  • are immediately expelled from the zone

If a character dies to a monster, the lost items disappear into the depths of these lands.


Map and Exploration

Each entry into a Risk Ares generates a random map of 25 x 25 tiles.

On the map you may encounter:

  • monsters

  • resources

  • random events

  • chests with gold

Exploration and interaction with objects are possible only if the character's health is above 10.


Random Events

Moving through the zone can be dangerous. While traveling:

  • there is a 20% chance that an enemy will attack the player

  • there is a 10% chance that enemies increase their skills by 20 - 60%

Sometimes special events may appear. For example:

  • a powerful enemy with a valuable reward

  • an effect that increases a random attribute by 5 - 10% for 24 hours


Resource Gathering

Rare materials needed for high-level equipment can be gathered in Risk Areas.

Gathering mechanics:

  • each gathering attempt gives 2 - 12 resource units

  • requires a pickaxe or axe of the appropriate level

  • tool gathering bonuses are applied

  • all types of potions affecting gathering work

Enemies can drop 1 - 3 items.

However, no experience is awarded for defeating monsters in Risk Areas.


Chests

Sometimes you may encounter chests containing gold.

There are two ways to open them.

Break the chest

  • a fast method

  • but there is a 52 - 81% chance to destroy the contents

Use a lockpick

  • 70% chance to open the chest

  • lockpicks can be purchased from the Hero Supplier in the Village


Weather Effects

Weather also affects enemies.

Rain and thunder

-10% enemy defense and resistance

Night sky

+10% enemy dexterity
+40% enemy stats

Strong wind

-15% enemy stats


Limited Availability

Because of dangerous routes and supply difficulties, access to Risk Areas is limited.

The location opens:

  • 3 times per day

  • for 1 hour

During these times many adventurers travel to these lands hoping to find valuable loot.

However, remember - losses in Risk Areas are not compensated.


Risk Areas were created as a place where players can obtain rare resources and test their strength. But the deeper you go into these lands, the higher the price of a mistake becomes.
